PremiAir is a new bespoke service offered by Manchester Airport to participating airlines. No matter which terminal your flight leaves from, you arrive at their private terminal where you check in, go through a private passport control and then relax in the lounge, before being taken privately to your flight.
The PremiAir private terminal is serious luxury with floor to ceiling windows so you can watch the planes land and take off. There is an assortment of seating from soft and cosy sofas to more sophisticated leather seats with foot rests. The whole vibe is luxury. It is quiet yet with the gentle buzz you could expect from people excited to be jetting off on their holidays.
There is a distinct ‘Manc’ feel to the place with Mancunian sayings etched into the glass and some epic artwork to ponder over. The luxury is in the detail, down to the beautiful Rituals toiletries that are used in the bathrooms and the chef led menu that you can enjoy.
Food is prepared by in house chef Andy Jackson and features dishes that are in season, from tapas style to something a little more robust. I particularly enjoyed the houmous and fresh tortilla chips as well as the bao buns. Unlike your regular airport lounge, food is made to order so it is super fresh and to your specific order.
Whilst we are talking food, I’m not sure I can go through the airport without a drink and PremiAir has a truly unique selection with local Manchester gin, Cheshire based Quintessential tea options and a beautiful prosecco. If a decent cup of coffee is your drink of choice, they have that too and you can help yourself to your favourite cup.
From start to finish the whole experience is first class and the team are on hand to help with anything you may need. I urge you to try it and experience what true luxury travelling through an airport really looks like.
