All you can eat’ is a particular favourite of mine. Be it a brunch, or an all inclusive, I just feel less like I am missing out, as I can try a bit of everything if I want to including things I would never normally order. The latest luxe venue to hit Spinningfields is Sakku Samba; a Japanese Brazilian immersive dining experience.

Sakku Samba occupies the old Artisan site, so once greeted you go up the stairs where you are checked in like visiting a hotel and then taken to your table. The space doesn’t look dramatically different to me, but then it is a while since Artisan left us so I may be mistaken. There is an open kitchen as you enter, a large central bar adorned with neon and the artificial cherry blossom trees that seem en vogue at the moment.
We were guided to a round booth and advised that all orders are to be made via a tablet on the table. I actually love this idea! All food is included in the price, but drinks are also ordered via the app with a full price breakdown. It makes budgeting your meal so much easier, in my opinion.

You can only order a certain amount of dishes per 15 minutes and the menu is broken down into categories, so you can either go all in on one category or mix it up for a more balanced dinner. Not surprisingly, I ended up ordering loads of sides and then had to wait for the accompaniments, but that is all part of the fun.

The edamame are a must so we got 2 portions. Salty, warm and instant comfort food. There are some lovely pasta salads and topped salads to choose from too. I find some Brazilian all inclusive dining concepts can scrimp on the sides offering just rice and chips, that is definitely not the case here but both are also excellent.

All Brazilian meats are cooked in a traditional style with lots of choice, including the picanha which is a favourite of mine. You can choose how you want your meat cooked via the app and they arrive in small portions to your table. The lamb was a little fatty and very thinly sliced but being able to order more means I didn’t feel like I was missing out.

There is a vast selection of Japanese dishes, with the Chicken Gyozas being so good that we ordered 2 portions. Deliciously soft and seasoned chicken that was comforting with a salty soy dip.
Each of the sushi options is broken down and their description explained, which is great if you are not a regular at a sushi restaurant.

I can’t eat a lot of sushi so the plates of 3 or 4 pieces are great if you are the same. The sashimi was lovely and tasted fresh, which is always a worry when visiting a busy restaurant. My friend enjoyed several plates of the sushi here and thoroughly enjoyed it, whilst I much preferred the Brazilian options from the menu. There is also a great selection of fried dishes and noodles, if that is more your thing.
Whilst the plates are small, they can stack up so I was pleased that we had such a big table. There were other tables set up for 2 and I have no clue how they would have been able to deal with all the plates whilst trying to eat.
Dessert is extra but I cannot fathom a time when you would have room after all that food. If you fave, their is a nice selection with the Fererro Rocher and Lotus Cheesecakes being top of my list, if I had been so inclined.
